School has officially ended for the year and I’m so pleased with the progress my kids have made. My daughter, especially, has made significant progress in her reading, spelling and writing.
At the beginning of the year, she tested as having a high risk for dyslexia, so she was never really motivated to read, write or spell. We made some changes in curriculum and she began to flourish. Now, at the end of the year, she’s more eager to read and write and does it well.
With summer here, I didn’t want to lose all that we had gained. We worked too hard for it. So I made the decision to continue doing some light school work over the summer.
I was browsing on Pinterest one evening, and I came across some summer learning printables designed to help kids remember what they’d learned during the school year. These printables were perfect for what I wanted to do with my daughter for the summer, so I grabbed them.
I love them so much, I felt I had to share.
Blessed Beyond a Doubt has created these sentence printables that allow children to draw, trace and write sentences. There are twelve pages included in the pact and are free for subscribers. Not only are they fun, but they help kids practice their writing skills, retaining what they’ve learned during the school year.
If you want a copy for yourself, you can download your summer learning printables here.
