I know people who wake up with a smile and seem to have the most pleasant days. Even though stressful things may happen, they handle it without letting it alter their mood for very long, if at all.
My son is like that. He wakes up smiling and gives a cheery, “Hello Mommy!” each morning. Even if I have to wake him up out of a deep, restful sleep, he still gives me a smile.
And his mornings are filled with friendly chatter, laughter, and fun stories. At bedtime, I can still count on cheery “goodnights” to end the day.
How you start your day sets the tone for how you will end your day.
How does your day start?
Do you wake up still feeling tired, as if you didn’t get any rest?
Do you feel like you have to rush to do all the tasks leftover from yesterday?
Are you impatient and short with your kids, rushing them to the table or out the door?
Are you frustrated and just plain worn out with all of the tasks you have to juggle every day?
It’s time to make mornings easier.
Feeling overwhelmed, rushed, and constantly behind is not the way to live your mornings. Rushing your children, producing the hurried child, does not protect the joy and freedom kids should possess.
You don’t have to continue living this way. You can make your mornings easier.
Start your day by intentionally taking time out for yourself. Use this time to read, pray, meditate, or simply reflect on the good things in your life.
Now your mind is free and ready to plan your day. Write out the things you need to accomplish for the day and prioritize them. Use your planner to schedule in the times you can best complete these tasks. This will help you better manage your time.
These two steps are what I do and will get you started to having an easier morning, but I also have a resource that will give you additional steps that will makeover your mornings.
Last year, I attended a homeschool conference in Nashville, TN and sat through a session taught by Crystal Paine from Money Saving Mom. I was so impressed with the information she shared, I implemented it soon after returning home and it made a huge difference in not only my mornings, but my kids’ mornings as well.
She has created a course on how you, too, can make over your mornings. It’s a 14-day course, “designed to help you revolutionize your productivity, streamline your routines, invest your time in things that truly matter, and find more joy and peace in the process.”
If you’ve ever hoped you could have more organization in your life, get more done in less time, and use that extra time to spend on things you love, the Make Over Your Mornings Course is for you.
If you’re ready to transform your mornings in just 15 minutes a day, sign up for Crystal’s course here.
You’ll be glad you did.
