Last week, our KISS challenge was to plan for interruptions. If you took the challenge, I hope you found more time in your day and were more productive.
This week, we’re going to shift our focus to our homes.
When I decided to leave my corporate job and come home, we knew we had to make some changes in our lifestyle in order for me to afford to stay home. One major change was downsizing to a smaller home.
It was a good decision, but it also meant downsizing the stuff we had inside the house. Once we moved into the smaller home, we found that we still had more things than we needed. So we planned a weekly cleaning schedule to gradually sort through our belongings and donate or sell what we did not need.
We also found that having a weekly cleaning schedule was helpful for us to keep a tidy house and for helping the kids get involved by knowing what to do next.
I created my own checklist at that time, but since then, I’ve found this nice little cleaning printable from Just a Girl with a Blog:
Our KISS challenge for this week is to Keep a Clean House by planning your cleaning before the week begins. Knowing what we need to do helps to keep us motivated and saves time in our day.
