Being vulnerable isn’t a bad thing. Even in business it’s a strength. It actually takes a very strong person to show their true self – errors and all. And it helps to connect others to you. They really feel as if you care.
Show those you care about that you can empathize with them by sharing your own experiences. Let them learn from your mistakes, and invite them to walk alongside you as you learn something new.
This can apply to your children, family, friends, blog readers, and even your customers. Don’t be afraid to show you’re human. You don’t have to always share your successes. Try sharing some of the lessons you learned as well. By being vunerable, others feel safer in connecting with you.
You show others you understand them by being vulnerable, not by trying to appear perfect. (Tweet this!)
